Meet The Founder
Meet Tiana!
Tiana is the founder and guiding force behind Indigo Movement, a practice rooted in helping people reconnect with themselves through intentional bodywork and self-care. Known by her clients as “The Body Whisperer,” Tiana brings a thoughtful, intuitive approach to every session—customizing her work to support both the physical and emotional needs of each individual.
Each appointment begins with a conversation to better understand what your body is holding and how she can best support you. Drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, her sessions may include flowing, rhythmic touch to soothe the nervous system, gentle tapping to support emotional release, deep pressure to ease muscle tension, breathwork to ground the body, and focused attention on areas of chronic tightness. Whether you’re holding physical stress or navigating emotional overwhelm, Tiana creates space for deep release, reconnection, and healing.
Beyond the treatment room, Tiana is a passionate community leader and advocate. She champions diversity, social justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and environmental preservation. She founded The Duncan Connection (TDC), a non-profit offering holistic resources, swim lessons, and accessible fitness classes to underserved communities in South Seattle. Her community efforts also include:
Hosting winter fitness classes at Rainier Dance Center featuring local South Seattle instructors
Collaborating with Seattle Parks and Recreation and South Lake Union Market on outdoor summer fitness sessions at Denny Park
Creating inclusive walking groups that focus on posture, balance, and endurance
Working with Van Asselt Community Center and global partners to promote active family lifestyles and greater access to fitness tools
Launching a monthly virtual movement series in January 2023, teaching self-massage, breathwork, and mobility exercises to help people stay healthy, strong, and youthful—anytime, anywhere
