Meet Tiana!

Founder and owner, Tiana Duncan received her certification for massage therapy from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 2006 and is licensed to practice in Washington state. She opened the doors of Indigo Movement in 2017 and today leads a team of certified and highly trained specialists who offer massage sessions, circuit training, kickboxing, and yoga classes to clients.

Tiana is an active member of the community, championing diversity, social justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and environmental preservation. She established The Duncan Connection, a non-profit providing holistic resources, fitness classes, and swim lessons to underserved communities in the South Seattle area. Other community projects Tiana has led include:

  • Hosted winter fitness classes at Rainier Dance Center highlighting local fitness instructors in South Seattle

  • Partnered with Seattle Parks and Recreation and South Lake Union Market to hold Summer outdoor fitness classes at Denny Park

  • Provided a space for South Seattle residents to build community while leisurely walking for 75-minutes, with a focus on how to improve balance, posture, and endurance

  • Worked with Van Asselt Community Center and Seattle Parks and Recreation to highlight a global initiative to get parents and children more involved in being active and providing more access to fitness equipment which can be a barrier for many communities

In January 2023, Tiana started a monthly movement series where she highlights self-massage, stretching, breathing exercise, and more that you can do virtually anywhere! The movements increase mobility, strength training, and stability of your joints ensuring you stay happier, healthier, and more youthful.
