Still Standing, Still Growing
There’s a common saying in the business world: once you make it past your five years, you’re “out of the trenches.” And while that may be somewhat true, it’s also—if we’re really being honest—partly a bunch of BS!
In 2025, I watched many of my peers—business owners with 8+ years under their belts—close their doors. Some were hit hard by rising food and product costs. Some struggled to keep up with labor demands. Others simply reached burnout. It was sobering, humbling, and deeply human.
For Indigo Movement, 2025 became one of intentional slowing down. A time to appreciate and closely inspect the fruits of eight years of devotion, care, and labor. We created space to dream alongside healers we’ve known and trusted for years, while also holding space to grieve the endings of businesses and peers we love and respect.
In 2025, our business was honored to be part of powerful healing work across a range of retreats and gatherings—working alongside individuals and organizations who truly understand the importance of investing in Black and Brown communities, acknowledging the land we gather on, and not being afraid to choose a side rooted in care, justice, and integrity.
2025 has been an empowering year for Indigo Movement. The seeds my team and I planted—watered, pruned, and nurtured over time—have produced fruits full of support, alignment, and blessing. For that, we are deeply grateful!
We hope every client feels that gratitude when they engage with us—from the sweet, thoughtful, and efficient communication you receive from Jordan, to the beautifully designed, intentional newsletters and color-therapy-inspired social posts curated by James, to the calm, grounding, aromatic treatment space we hold in SoDo.
Cheers to 2025. Cheers to the upcoming Year of the Fire Horse. And cheers to moving gently, wisely, and courageously through the lessons of winter.
Cheers,
Tiana
