(A)pril is for Alignment

At Indigo Movement, we believe that movement is medicine—and it doesn’t have to be big or complicated to be transformative, so we’re sharing three intentional movements that you can practice anytime, anywhere to reconnect with your body and realign your energy.

1. The Grounding Roll Down

A gentle forward fold to reset the spine and quiet the mind.
→ Stand tall, inhale deeply, then slowly roll down vertebra by vertebra.
→ Hang heavy, release the neck and jaw, and breathe into your back.
→ Roll up slowly to standing—stacking bones like building blocks.

See example HERE.

2. Seated Spinal Twist

Perfect for loosening tension in the back and improving digestion.
→ Sit cross-legged on the floor or on a chair, tall spine.
→ Inhale, lengthen. Exhale, twist to the right, holding the knee or chair back.
→ Stay for 3 breaths. Repeat on the other side.

See example HERE.

3. Wall-Supported Legs Up

A powerful reset for circulation and the nervous system.
→ Lie on your back and extend legs up a wall.
→ Let your arms fall open, palms up.
→ Close your eyes and breathe deeply for 5–10 minutes.

See example HERE.

These movements are simple but profound. Just a few mindful moments a day can create space, softness, and alignment—inside and out.

Cheers,
Team Indigo Movement
