Your Homework This Week

Hey y’all,

Do you know that feeling once you completed your massage and you’re feeling relaxed, recharged, and ready to take on whatever the day throws your way? Yeah, I know and love that feeling too! But, how do we prolong the benefits of our massage after our session has long ended?

After a client has completed their massage session, I follow up with an e-mail outlining what I like to call “homework”. This will look different for each client as no two bodies are alike. The assignment could be a combination of body-weight training, spinal mobility exercises, or incorporating a jaw massage into your skincare regimen, in addition to drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and releasing toxins from the body.

In the end, all things really come back to posture and realigning the body through strength training, mobility, functional training, and breath work. Not only does doing your "homework" prolong the benefits of your massage; it also affects your future massages. Remember the saying, take 3 steps forward and 2 steps back? It also applies to massages too.

Cheers,

Tiana

P.S. Fall hours start this Saturday, October 1st! We’ll be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11AM - 7PM.
