Honoring the Women Who Shaped Me
Mother’s Day may have come and gone, but I find myself still wrapped in the warmth of reflection—thinking deeply about the women who’ve shaped me, nurtured me, and helped me become the person and mother I am today.
My mom has been my biggest supporter, cheerleader, and comfort through every season of life. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve navigated my own journey through motherhood without her steady presence and unconditional love.
And then there’s my grandma—my role model for strength, spirit, and unapologetic passion. A proud and sassy Sicilian, she taught me that being loud and direct is something to embrace. She’s always spoken up for what matters, especially when it comes to politics and social justice. For decades, she’s served as a victims panel speaker for MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), turning her voice into advocacy and healing.
I’m endlessly grateful for the legacy these women have given me—and I hope you’ve also had time to reflect on the powerful maternal figures in your life. Whether they raised you, mentored you, or simply made you feel seen, they deserve to be celebrated every day!
Cheers,
Jordan
