Savor the Moment: Events Where Taste Meets Mindfulness

At Indigo Movement, we believe true wellness comes from tuning in—not only to your breath and your body, but your taste buds, too!

The sense of taste is deeply tied to memory, emotion, and mindfulness. It’s how we savor life. And here in Seattle and the surrounding area, there are so many ways to indulge your palate with intention.

This week, we’re celebrating the taste of summer. From farmers markets to food festivals, here’s how you can connect with your senses locally.

Bite of Seattle | July 25 - 27

With 250+ local vendors, beer and wine gardens, cider tastings, artisan markets, live cooking demos, and over 65 musical performers, this annual event brings together more than 355,000 people in celebration of the city’s rich food culture scene. Whether you're sampling a new dish, sipping a local vintage, or dancing to a live set, take a breath. Taste slowly. Savor fully. Learn more HERE!

Tasting Notes | July 25

Tasting Notes blends Seattle’s vibrant food scene with world-class classical music. Hosted by renowned violinist James Ehnes and James Beard Award–winning chef J. Kenji López-Alt, this one-night-only event invites guests to experience live music while some of Seattle’s top chefs craft dishes in near silence—letting the sounds of the orchestra take center stage.

Tickets are $65 and include a curated chocolate tasting from Spinnaker Chocolate and an afterparty with Moto pizza. Learn more HERE!

Pista sa Nayon | July 27

Pista sa Nayon was created to preserve tradition, celebrate identity, and share the spirit of Filipino hospitality with the wider region.

This vibrant festival welcomes all—offering a taste of Filipino life through delicious food, live entertainment, arts & crafts, and family-friendly activities. It’s a joyful expression of heritage and togetherness, inviting people of all backgrounds to come together, connect, and celebrate. Learn more HERE!

Summer Safety

Don’t forget your pets get hot, too! Keep your furry friends cool and comfortable. Avoid walking pets during peak heat—early mornings or late evenings are best. Always provide plenty of fresh water, never leave them in a parked car (even for a minute!), and watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting or lethargy. If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
