Proudly Rooted in Pride — This Month, and Always
At Indigo Movement, Pride isn’t just a month — it’s our foundation. As a Black, Queer, Woman-owned business owner, we hold this time with deep reverence and joy!
Pride Month began as a radical act of resistance. It commemorates the Stonewall Uprising of June 1969, when LGBTQ+ people — led by trans women of color like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera — stood up against police brutality and systemic oppression in New York City. What started as a riot sparked a global movement for visibility, dignity, and liberation.

Honoring My Father, My Foundation
I’m incredibly blessed to have so many men in my life who embody the fullness of what it means to be a man—a man who loves, honors, protects, provides, and plays with his family. This one goes out to my papa, Cat Daddy, KC—better known as Michael Duncan Sr.

A Love Letter to Lady T: Honoring the Woman Who Shaped Me
At Indigo Movement, we believe in celebrating the women who shaped us—those still with us and those whose presence we feel beyond this realm. Before we end this month, I want to shine a special light on Lady T, lovingly known as Terry Duncan, my momma.

Honoring the Women Who Shaped Me
Mother’s Day may have come and gone, but I find myself still wrapped in the warmth of reflection—thinking deeply about the women who’ve shaped me, nurtured me, and helped me become the person and mother I am today.

Mother's Day May Be Over—But We're Celebrating Women All Month Long 💐
Mother’s Day may have come and gone, but our celebration of women is far from over. This month, our team is dedicating the entire month of May to the incredible women who nurture, lead, create, and inspire—mothers, grandmothers, aunties, sisters, friends, and mentors. Their strength and love deserve more than just a day!

Mothering Is an Energy — Let’s Celebrate It
What does it mean to be a mother? Motherhood is not defined by biology alone — it’s a deep, intuitive force.
A sacred, creative energy that lives in people of all genders, shapes, and stories. It shows up in those who birth life, who raise others, who hold space, who pour love into their homes, their communities, and the world around them.
